Biography

Mohamed Abdelhafid Hazourli (Arabic: محمد حازرلي), born on January 8, 1948, in Tébessa, Algeria, is an Algerian filmmaker and producer. His career began in 1970, and he has produced several film and television works inspired by the experiences of Algerians. One of his best-known works is undoubtedly the famous cult series "Aâssab Oua Awthar," which ran for over a quarter of a century. He has directed several feature films, including "Eskhab" (the necklace), in 1973, "Hiziya" (1977), a local love story based on a song, "Ali Yeddi, Ali Ma Yeddich" as part of the "Algiers, Capital of Arab Culture" event, which won an award in 2009 at the Arab Television Festival in Tunis, religious films, a docudrama about Emir Abdelkader and series.
