"The Son of the Taihang" is an environmental-themed film adapted from the reportage "The Proud Son of the Taihang" by Geng Mengjie and Liu Jincheng. The protagonist of this film, Fan Qingrong, who is over seventy years old, is a native of Mengzhuang Town, Hui County. The "small power plant" worth one billion yuan highlights the touching story of the protagonist who started from scratch under the leadership of the party and worked hard to build a benign development with the power plant workers.
