Wahida
A lonely schoolteacher in Alexandria, she has a hearing impairment and wears a hearing aid asking to be assigned to Cairo, where no one knows her illness. She got to know Magdy and loved him, and had to tell him her secret, who showed no interest in her hearing impairment. He proposed to her, but his mother objected, fearing that her grandchildren would inherit their mother’s illness.
