The film tells the story of a young man whose life is consumed by poverty and hardship, and who believes that wealth will solve all his problems. A miracle seems to occur when the lottery ticket he bought on a whim—bearing the number 5001, —wins the jackpot. But instead of bringing happiness, his newfound fortune plunges him into a series of misfortunes, turning his life into an unbearable nightmare.
