
The life of the boy Fedya changed dramatically after the arrival of the volost commissar in the village. Fedka knew how to read and write, so he was appointed clerk of the village committee of the poor. The whole village is happy about Soviet power. But the fists try to harm, not even stopping at killing. And when the commissioner dies from an enemy bullet, Fedka becomes a real fighter for a better future.
