
After firing on a police officer, Hajime ironically becomes a household name as the media broadcasts the footage nationwide. Hachi, bitter that Hajime is getting all the fame, tries to steal the spotlight by raiding yakuza offices and drug labs, even submitting photos of his exploits to magazines. At the same time, a re-edited version of “Tokyo’s Shadow”—where Hajime had a minor role—revives as a surprise hit, boosting his name further. Tension brews between the two, as Hachi spirals into self-loathing and drugs while Hajime, cornered with no way to escape his situation, grows desperate. Their conflict finally erupts into a bloody three-way gunfight involving Hachi, Hajime, and Hachi’s underling Kanda…
