Overview

Unlike many parts of Belfast, Springfield Park at the beginning was a mixed development with people moving from predominant the Falls or Shankill Road and as the viewers are told at the beginning "for the original residents it was one community". Initial friendly relationships between those who lived there come under strain with the army beginning to be a common occurrence on the street, and the rapid erection of two new estates on either side of Springfield Park
