
In a peaceful countryside village—known for its clear water and fresh air—lived a simple, honest, if somewhat foolish family of three. One day, two swindlers named Madam Oh and Yong-pal show up, casting a dark shadow over their lives. Through cunning schemes and deception, the family is manipulated and ends up losing their land and home overnight. From the shock, the father, Cheon-seok, collapses. Determined to catch the con artists, Hyung-rae (Young-gu) heads to Seoul—marking the beginning of his difficult life in the city.
