Christie Stevens has been aching to see her stepson, Jake Adams, ever since he went away to college. He comes home and she kisses him on the lips, he coughs, she recoils in concern, "everything okay?" Jake tells her that he's fine and notices life insurance papers on the coffee table in his name and his father's. Christie quickly scoots them to the side and wonders if he will stay in considering he is sick. Step-Mommy has "just the cure," for more than just the common cold.
