Sinead Murphy’s debut film, Sludge, follows a young homeless woman living on the fringes of Irish society and deeply in love with her best friend. Haunted by fractured traumatic memories and visions of a dark-hooded figure, she struggles to hold onto reality as her friend is drawn into the orbit of a dangerous underworld. As her world unravels, she must confront the terrifying truth behind the figure that stalks her, and face the darkness within.
