A life not defined by crisis, but by the work required to prevent one.
Overlooked follows Matt Iman as he returns home from a two-year LDS mission and begins navigating adulthood while living with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), a rare genetic condition that leaves his body unable to produce cortisol. Though he appears healthy, every day is shaped by medication, emergency preparedness, and the constant risk of a life threatening adrenal crisis. Through intimate observational storytelling, the film offers a deeply personal look at life with an invisible illness while exploring resilience, family, and the invisible realities of living with a rare disease.
