Flower seller Leni Bluhm is kind-hearted, but illiterate and not very bright. That's why the single mother can't help her son Dominik at school. His teacher Steiner is worried and calls in the youth welfare office. The narrow-minded authorities make sure that Dominik is placed with a foster mother - Mrs. Steiner of all people!
