Subhadramma is a gutsy woman who raises her two daughters single-handedly after her husband Narayankutty deserts her. Shivankutty, her neighbor is a linesman who is in love with her daughter Parvathy. After the initial resistance, Subhadramma agrees to their marriage. However, things change when Narayankutty returns.
