In a run-down translation bureau, an Odesian, Borya, accidentally meets a translator, Toma. And he can't believe his own eyes - Toma looks like two drops of water like the actress Uma Thurman. Bori instantly gets a brilliant idea: if Toma dresses up and teaches her decent manners, no one will distinguish her from a movie star. And for a meeting with the real Uma Thurman, the nouveau riche will pay dearly....
