1937. Pepita and Mari Carmen spend every afternoon together trying to cope with the loneliness of the war. Between buttons and balls of yarn they talk about life, desires, dreams and love, but that afternoon they did not know what destiny had in store for them. In the end, they will prove that life is like sewing and singing... everything is a beginning.
